Tamarind Sevai

Tamarind Sevai

Ingradients:

  1. SevaiMagik Sevai - 900 grams
  2. Tamarind - about the size of a lemon (in puree form)
  3. Ulundam Paruppu (Urid Dal-white) - 1 tsp
  4. Groundnut (Roasted, unsalted) - 2 tsp
  5. Gingelly Oil - 2 tbsp
  6. Red Chillies (dried) - 4
  7. Turmeric Powder - ¼ tsp
  8. Curry Leaves, Mustard seeds - as required
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Masala powder to be made from:
  11. Malli (Dhaniya) - 4 tsp
  12. Cumin seeds (Jeera) - 1 tsp
  13. Split peas (Channa Dal) - 1 tsp
  14. Fenugreek seeds - ½ tsp
  15. Asafoetida - a pinch
  16. Grated Coconut (unsweetened) - 1 tsp

Directions:

Roast and grind the ingradients given for the Masala powder. Heat oil, put mustard seeds, Ulundam paruppu, Red Chillies and Curry leaves and fry well. Now pour the tamarind puree into it. Add the prepared masala powder, Turmeric powder and salt. Cook the mixture well in low heat, till the oil seprates and floats. Remove from heat, let it cool, and mix well with SevaiMagik Sevai and serve.

Vegetable Sevai

Vegetable Sevai

Ingradients:

  1. SevaiMagik Sevai - 900 grams
  2. Carrot, Beans and Green Peas - 300 grams
  3. Ghee - 4 tsp
  4. Cumin seeds (Jeera) - 2 tsp
  5. Onion - 2 (cut into pieces)
  6. Green Chillies - 6 (cut along length)
  7. Mint Leaves, Curry Leaves, Coraiander Leaves - as required
  8. Salt to taste

Directions:

Cut carrot and Beans into long slender pieces. Heat ghee, put Cumin Seeds, Onion, Chillies, Salt and fry. Add vegetables and fry till done. Add Sevaimagik Sevai and mix well. Add Mint, Coriander and Curry leaves and serve.

Sevai with Coconut Milk (sweet)

Cocunut-milk Sevai

Ingradients:

  1. SevaiMagik Sevai - 900 grams
  2. Ripe Coconuts - 2
  3. Cardamom Powder - ¼ tsp
  4. Sugar - 300 grams (use as required)
  5. Cashew and Raisin - for garnishing

Directions:

Shred Coconuts, add water and grind in a mixie, strain and collect the milk. Add Cardamom powder and sugar and keep on stove till it is about to boil. Once boiled, it may separate, so remove from heat before it boils.

Garnish with Cachew and Raisin, and serve with SevaiMagik Sevai.

Tomato Sevai

Tomato Sevai

Ingradients:

  1. SevaiMagik Sevai - 900 grams
  2. Tomatoes (Large, cut into pices) - 7
  3. Split peas (Channa Dal) - 1 tsp
  4. Mustard seeds - ½ tsp
  5. Oil - 2 tsp
  6. Onion - 2 (cut into pieces)
  7. Green Chillies - 6 (cut along length)
  8. Sombu - ½ tsp
  9. Garam Masala powder - ½ tsp
  10. Curry Leaves, Coriander Leaves - as required
  11. Salt to taste

Directions:

Heat oil, put Mustard Seeds, xxxx, Split peas. Add Onion and Chillies, Garam Masala Powder and fry. Add Taomatoe and cook in low heat for 5 minutes, in covered condition. Remove from heat and let it cool. Add this mixture to Sevaimagik Sevai and mix well. Add Coriander and Curry leaves and serve.

Sweet Sevai

Ingradients:

  1. SevaiMagik Sevai - 900 grams
  2. Brown Sugar - 50 grams (use as required)
  3. Cardamom Powder - ¼ tsp
  4. Shredded Coconut - 100 grams
  5. Roasted Cashew - 10

Directions:

Just mix all ingradients and serve!.Very easy and tasty recipe. Do not keep it for long as it may become hard due to the presence of sugar.
